Prayer for Our Hearts to Not Be Troubled – July 29, 2018

July 29, 2018 by Jack Emmott 3 Comments

God – All of us at times have troubled hearts. We cannot sleep or be at peace because we worry about those we love or things over which we have no control.

A family member or friend who drinks too much or who is addicted to drugs or pornography or incessant gaming. Fear of losing one we love to cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or aging. Betrayal. The loss of a job or financial security. Abandonment. Abuse. Divorce. Separation. Mistreatment at work. The death of a child.

At such moments when we are burdened, heart-broken, and bewildered beyond belief, please help us all to turn to You just as a sunflower naturally turns toward the sun.  For if we naturally turn to You and Your Son, Jesus, and place our troubled hearts in Your Hands, we need not be afraid or overcome by fear and stark uncertainty.  For You will shine Your peace on us and show us every day the paths on which we are to rightly travel to find our way to heaven on Earth and one day to Your Eternal Kingdom of everlasting love.   Amen

Jack – – We have visited you and your offices in 2014 when the wife of my son, Mark, filed for divorce. Mark, at the time, was in advance progression of the disease ALS. He past in December 2014, at 52 years of age. The Lord blessed Leigh and I with four children, our current marriage of 63 years, and both in the 80’s. My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2017.

Your prayer is a clear demonstration of being filled with the Holy Spirit, and therefore, free from the slavery of sin, principalities, and powers of the air & satan.
Your peace and joy revealed is a product of God’s Grace given by the Father to the Son who also made His Son the sacrifice for sin and disease of the world on that rugged cross. The provision of Atonement for our sins is Imputed through faith in Christ as our Redeemer; Grace is also an exclusive gift of Christ through our weakness made strong through Him.
May God’s blessings be continually revealed through you . . .

Thank you, Jack. I enjoy reading all of your prayers. But, this one came at the perfect time, when I feeling there was no light at the end of the tunnel and no hope. I do not tend to believe in coincidences. So, again, thank you and God bless you always.
