To my Bending Angel prayer community, I have had such interest from you as to my recent post, “Prayer to Find God in Divorce”, that I have decided to post for the next few weeks a prayer to help couples find God and His support in their difficult marriages.   Each prayer will be selected from my book, Prayerful Passages: Asking God’s Help in Reconciliation, Separation, and Divorce. 

Prayer for Assistance in Time of Struggle for Reconciliation

Almighty God, as I struggle to honor my marriage vows to my spouse and my covenant with You, please use me as Your instrument to do Your will. Fill me, as Your vessel, with Your infinite love and grace so that I may better love my spouse and reflect Your healing light on our broken relationship as man and wife. In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, may You also bestow the same love and light on my spouse as you will on me, so that we may share the blessing of marriage until death do us part.  Amen.
