Dear Most Patient God – Every one of us wants things to happen now on our timetable. We become frustrated and act impulsively to get what we want or have others meet our demands instead of allowing You and Your love for us to bring about change naturally and healthily. Please remind us that in Christian life good outcomes may occur slowly. Bad things can happen quickly, especially when we act impulsively and falsely expect Your Grace to come to us cheaply and expeditiously.
Please help each of us to be patient knowing that when we honor and trust in You and when we act rightly on a consistent, sustained basis over time that good outcomes surely follow. We should not demand all things in a day, especially after Your sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus, gave each of us unending life, forever and ever in Heaven.
Amen
