God – Last week and next week eight students and two teacher’s lives will be celebrated, precious lives who were taken from those who loved them by guns fired at Santa Fe High School.

As they are laid to rest, God please help us not to bury the resolve to find every way to end gun violence in our schools.Let’s us not merely stand in silence in prayer to You to honor them and bless their souls.

I do not know the ways to protect Your children. But I know You do, God Our Savior.

Please enlighten us, our elected officials, mental healthcare professionals, educators, and parents on how to accomplish this daunting but needful task.

As we express gratitude for those who have died and served our country in time of war, on Memorial Day, let us also honor all who have died in our schools. Amen
